Testimonials
Our students and their families come from rural NSW. Here's what some of them have to say about their time at Royal Far West School:
Reading opened up a side to Linden that we didn't know existed. My husband commented that it has been a long time since he has seen Linden laugh like he does when reading these books. Since starting the Book Bugs Program we noticed Linden has been having more verbal than non-verbal says - he just loves his books! This has opened us all up.

The SWAY – Sounds, Words, Aboriginal Language and Yarning program has been one of the most transformative professional experiences of my career. Its strength lies not only in the deep knowledge shared, but in the way that knowledge is held, through Elders, through yarning, through connection, and through a genuine sense of cultural safety.
Being surrounded by Elders, fellow educators, and the dedicated SWAY team creates a learning environment that feels spiritual, grounding, and profoundly human. It reminds us that embedding Aboriginal perspectives and language in early childhood settings is not a task, it’s a responsibility, a privilege, and a relationship.
This program gives educators the confidence, cultural understanding, and practical tools to weave Aboriginal ways of knowing, being, and doing into the preschool environment with authenticity and respect. Learning in such a connected, safe space strengthens us not only as educators, but as people. It empowers us to support our children to grow with pride, curiosity, and a sense of belonging , to be the very best they can be.
