Our Learning Support Team work with you and your school to make sure that your child is progressing well and getting all available assistance. They look at learning from preschool to the end of high school. They assess the reading of all new students and monitor those found to have difficulties.
Our Learning and Support Team provide:
- literacy assessments
- recommendations to schools for enhanced support for students found to have literacy difficulties
- training to school staff in a range of literacy support programs and strategies
- parent capacity building
- trials of assistive technology for students with literacy difficulties
- training of school staff in the integration of technology into the classroom
- collaborative support in literacy development to Learning and Support Teams in regional and remote schools
- resource recommendations
