In term 2 2012 the NSW Department of Education and Communities is going to evaluate the effectiveness of outreach learning using technology and trained, supervised volunteer tutors. The evaluation will consider a number of measures including student well being, engagement in learning, attendance and behaviour. RFWS will complement this evaluation by mapping the trajectory of student reading skills before, during and after the outreach program.
