Support staff

We have a talented and dedicated support staff working at RFWS who are office staff and learning support officers.

Odeta  (Administration Manager)

I enjoy meeting the new families who come to our school each week. It’s also great to catch up with those who are coming back and see how they are getting on.

Juliette (Administration)

I feel very privileged to be part of the very special team here at the Royal Far West School.

It's always so good to meet and talk to so many of the wonderful families that come here.

Deanna (Administration)

I am quite new to RFWS, but from the moment I stepped in I felt how professional, yet warm and welcoming all the staff are. It is a truly unique and amazing school that I feel honoured to work in and be able to assist the families visiting.

Jenny  (Learning support)

I have been working at Royal Far West School for 16 wonderful years. Over the years I have met many students and have formed long-lasting relationships with the families.

I am passionate about Aboriginal education, Literacy and all students having equal opportunities.

Victoria (Learning support)

I am the learning support officer. I really enjoy working on art projects with the students and playing lots of fun games.

Rikke (Learning support)

It’s a difficult name to say so many students call me Ricky –or “Tricky Ricky”!

At Royal Far West School there is always something exciting happening, we often have too much fun! One of the things I enjoy in class is showing the students how to make homemade butter and bread rolls:  the smell and taste is divine.

Lois  (Aboriginal education officer)

I love meeting the new families and watching the students have fun in the classrooms with lots of interesting resources. I enjoy listening to the many yarns and I cherish the friendships formed over the years I have worked here.  The families and students make our work meaningful.  I am inspired to continue the great work we do.

Caroline (Aboriginal education officer)

Caroline Glass-Pattison local Senior Knowledge Woman Wiradurji descendant working within RFW school and SWAY team.

Connecting with our jarjums and families brings me joy each day I come to work.

Ella (Learning Support)

I am very grateful to be a part of Royal Far West School.  I thrive on meeting, learning and educating the children and families from rual and remote NSW.  It is a joy to share their experience at Royal Far West.  Witnessing the smiles of children who come to Manly and see the ocean for the first time never gets old.  It's wonderful to see new friendships made when families come together at Royal Far West.

Harry (Learning Support)

I am studying to become a primary teacher and feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with students from across NSW. It is extra special to be part of this team and to learn from the wonderful and supportive staff here at RFWS.

Jennie (Learning support)

I love working at the Royal Far West School because it allows me to support clinical staff in identifying and addressing students’ specific learning needs which is incredibly rewarding.

I enjoy meeting new students and families each week and learning all about where they live and what they like to do!

Its not too bad being right across the road from the beautiful beach either 😉

Kathy  (Administration - on extended leave)

I have been working in the Royal Far West School office for a number of years.  Each week I am lucky enough to meet different families who travel from the country to access our services in Manly.  It is always a pleasure to hear their stories and to gain insight into the different experiences they have living in the country areas of NSW.

Lu  (General assistant)

I'm the General Assistant helping do non-teaching things for the school. I've been here for 8 years and enjoying working with the fantastic staff and seeing the great kids and families that come to Royal Far West.
