Resources for classroom and home
Children in school and at home may present with behaviour that is very challenging for teachers. The reasons for this behaviour are numerous for example mental health, autism, attention deficit disorders, learning difficulties and trauma.
Regardless of the source, the following strategies are recommended as being useful in supporting your student or child, and maintaining a happy and safe environment at school and home:

Supporting children with trauma
Children who have experienced trauma, or are experiencing ongoing trauma, may suffer from a wide range of problems that make their behaviour challenging and very distressing for themselves, their carers and their teachers.
The Australian Chiildhood Foundation provides training and resources to support schools and families impacted by trauma. ACF provides therapeutic services to children so they are able to recover from their trauma. Affordable and accessible education services and training to support teachers and school staff.
