Welcome to Purple Group !

Our class totem is the Echidna.

Here we are in group 3

The Echidna group is a safe and fun classroom for everyone.  You meet new friends and feel comfortable to ‘give it a go’.  Every week we look forward to greeting a new group of Echidnas.  

Our learning is hands-on and we do all the subjects you do at your home school just differently.  Often there are many year levels in the Echidna classroom.  Some of the activities we do include play maths games, computer activities, increase our animal knowledge with Kahoot, also there is time to pick an activity of your choice like lego or shops and sport time  is a favourite.  We are lucky to have Victoria who is amazing at art. 

Most importantly we are here to help and support you on your visit. Rose and Victoria look forward to seeing you soon!

Let’s take a look at what a typical day could look like in purple group!

 9.00 am     Class discussion and literacy activity 

10.15 am     Fruit break - fresh fruit and crackers 

11.00 am     Recess break on level 3 

11.30 am     Story time 

                      Maths games (bingo, sequence, snakes & ladders)

                      Computer maths (mathletics, targeting maths) 

                      Sport (pat the ball, dodgeball etc.) 

12.35 pm    Lunch - assorted sandwiches 

12.55 pm    Lunch break on level 3 

 1.15 pm     Movie 

                     Class activity 

                     Art and craft 

2.45pm       End of school

We read a story about dragons, did a quiz to discover our dragon and found out about dragons from other cultures.
